Who Do you Turn to When You Run into Car Trouble?
Roadside assistance comes in handy when you find yourself in an emergency situation on the, you guessed it, side of the road. This video shows some tips on how to choose the best roadside assistance for you.
Roadside assistance can help if you’re car breaks down, you get a flat tire, or even if you run out of gas. Finding the right coverage plan can be difficult.
A good place to start is with your insurance provider. Many auto insurance carriers will offer roadside assistance. While your overall price for coverage can go up, it’s an invaluable product when you need it.
Basic plans can start around $60 and include about five miles of towing per request with four to five service requests available each year. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t call roadside assistance more than five times or get towed more than five miles, but it may cost extra.
Premium roadside assistance may cost a few hundred every year but will cover hundreds of miles of towing, emergency fuel delivery, and possibly medical assistance. Narrow down your needs based on your lifestyle and family, and then speak with your insurance carrier. Click on the video above for more information.
