Windshield Replacement for a Subaru
Do you own a Subaru? Cracked windshield replacements can be expensive. Would you like to know how its windshield repair is done? This video covers that and specifically for the 2019 Subaru WRX STI.
The first thing to do is detach the windshield from the car and locate the damage to the glass.
It would be best to inspect both the inside and outside of the glass to look for any cracks or chips. If there are any cracks on the surface, they need to be repaired before they spread and cause more damage.
Once you’ve located any damage on your windshield, you’ll need to remove the damaged sections using a sharp utility knife. This can be done by cutting a small strip of plastic from the center of each crack until it’s completely removed. Once all damaged sections are removed, you can begin filling in any chips or cracks with a resin filler.
After all of the damaged sections have been filled in with resin filler, you’ll want to apply a layer of clear coat over it to seal it up.
